Tuesdays and Thursdays we take some time to reflect on the previous day’s post with the help of some visual inspiration.
Now that we are in Christ, looking into the mirror of God’s Word is the way for us to see the unseen. Our inner image, the truth about who we really are, can only be seen and known by finding it described in His Word. Nevertheless, once we behold it we must believe it. It is then that our inner image becomes our outer image.
We must be like Abram of old, who at ninety-nine years of age and with no outward evidence to cause hope, was called by God “Abraham, father of a multitude”. In the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Abraham set an example for us to follow. When we peer into the mirror of the Word and see our image…who God says we are, no matter what we see outwardly, we must do what Abraham did:
…he believed, so that he might become. (Romans 4:18)
You can read or re-read Your Inner Image that corresponds with today’s image.
My story continues here
You could not have said it any better, the word of God is the only image that reflects to any human being who he/she is. Why? Genesis says man was created in the image of God and after His likeness; that is just how things were before the whole creation was corrupted by sin. The same word of God says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. There was glory that was apportioned to man when he was created but sin eroded that glory. So how do we get the glory back? For the gift of God is eternal life thorugh Christ Jesus. It is in Christ Jesus that you begin to see who you truly are not what the world says you are. Thank you and God richly bless you.
Amen, amen, amen! I’m thinking you might need to start a blog of your own. It would be rich. Thanks so much for visiting mine, Martin, and for taking the time to comment with such thought provoking insight. Blessings….
