Shine Forth the Glory

Shine Forth the Glory

Tuesdays and Thursdays we take time to reflect on the previous day’s post with the help of some visual inspiration.
.
Now that we are under the new covenant, a covenant that has provided us with the righteousness that a holy and just God requires, we, like Paul, have been given a ministry.

…God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ… gave us the ministry of reconciliation…

II Corinthians 5:18

Like Moses, Paul, and others, we are now His representatives.

He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ…

II Corinthians 5:19-20

Let’s not forget to share this “glorious” gospel with others, telling them that God is no longer holding their trespasses against them. Although Jesus has revealed the way to approach the Father without fear, and the gospel we share eliminates the need for a veil, there is still a veil to be lifted.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  II Corinthians 4:3-4

For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.  II Corinthians 4:6

Like Moses, having seen the glory of God, we must return to the people and shine.  We must give them the knowledge of the glory of God, but this time unveiled, because the glory is now in the face of Christ…who provides us with the free gift of righteousness!
